How it all began
Our Story
Two people, one adventure, a lifetime ahead.
The First Meeting
We met on Valentine's Day at Union Public House. Aaron happened to have the night off after training, and after exchanging a few glances across the patio, he finally waved me over. I told him he looked familiar, even though he definitely didn't. Not long after, he deleted all of my matches on Hinge and told me, "You don't need these anymore." Turns out, he was right.
Growing Together
Life didn't exactly slow down for us. There were dirt bike days, broken bones, surgeries, long stretches away from work (all Aaron), and nursing school taking up more of our lives than either of us would have liked. Somewhere in between were the best parts: game nights together, drives with nowhere to be, and little escapes to the pines whenever we could get away.
We didn't get the easiest seasons, but we got to go through them together. And somewhere along the way, through all of the ordinary days and the difficult ones, it became pretty simple: when you've found your person, you just know.
The Proposal
Exactly one year, three months, and ten days after we started dating, Aaron had something planned for a little escape to Sedona during my break from school. I had my suspicions about what our photo shoot might turn into, but Aaron was doing a pretty good job keeping me guessing—until his sister, Ashley, accidentally spilled the beans over speakerphone at the hotel and announced that her brother was literally proposing... with me sitting across the room. I immediately pretended I hadn't heard a thing, determined not to ruin the surprise (or stress Aaron out).
Luckily, I still had no idea when or where it was going to happen. Aaron spent the photo shoot secretly carrying the ring box in a very uncomfortable hiding spot, somehow without me noticing. Eventually, our shoes and socks came off, we crossed the creek barefoot, and made our way to the most beautiful spot. There, Aaron got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Even with the secret slightly spoiled, the moment itself was a complete surprise—and absolutely perfect.
Forever After
Now, surrounded by the people who have loved and supported us along the way, we're ready to make it official. Through the exciting days, the difficult ones, and all of the beautifully ordinary moments in between, we've learned that life's greatest adventure is simply getting to do it together.
We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you. Thank you for being part of our story—and for being here as forever begins.
